About me

Sanduni earned an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science in Town & Country Planning from the University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka in 2021. She was a former Spatial Planning intern at

Urban Settlement Development Authority SL.

She is passionate about achieving Sustainable Development Goals and currently volunteering as a member of the Climate Action Group of the Commonwealth Planners Association and

PyeongChang Youth Peace Ambassador.
Sanduni has experience working with the SDGs-related projects at the university and the outside community, such as resettlement projects, sustainable city plans and approaches. She has skills in GIS, QGIS, ERDARS imagine, Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator and other fundamental IT software.

Planning Officer - Internship

Several performed activities - USDA

Participating in the field visits and identification of underserved settlements in the Western province.
Data entering (survey sheets to excel).
Creating GIS map layers and generating maps.
Analyzing data and compiling reports about Underserved settlements in Colombo District.
Formulation of project proposals and action plans relevant to Urban Settlement Development Authority.
Obtaining preliminary approvals for the projects.
Progress monitoring and evaluation concerning development projects.
Contribution to organizing events of the authority. (Lunawa Housing Project and other staff engage programs.)
